January - Melt Pot Session 1

A request from the class, to learn how to get started with their melt pots.  We "painted" with wax and dipped into UTEE.

The project sample
Background stamped on tissue (cosmetic) paper and painted on with wax.  Paper roses cut out, inked around the edges, made up and dipped in clear UTEE.  Leaves stamped, scrunched and flattened out, wiped over with ink and also dipped in UTEE.  Butterfly stained with metallic distress in, and then tripled embossed with embossing powder (two clear layers and one glitter layer).  To get the texture in the corners apply a layer of was through sequin waste.

An experiment using Spellinder dies for the flowers, leaves and butterfly.

Showing the class how to make the bits for their plaque and assembled in a different arrangement.

December - Masks and Masquerade

This month we concentrated on a theme rather than a technique.  The theme was bring along anything you might have in your craft stash that would fit Masks/Masquerade.  My contributions to this theme play session.

A variation on the Dimension Stamps monthly club project.

Using the Spellbinders die.  Handle is a hat pin with some beads threaded on it.

Clarity Large Mask Stamp

Clarity Small Mask stamps and some coordinating charms.

Forgotten to take picture of 6 x 6 plaque - will upload later.
